□ Personality:

On the outside, Aoba appears to be a normal twenty-three old man with a sarcastic side and a short fuse. He has friends, relatives and pets he all cares for and cherishes. He is quick to be there in their time of need like he rushes into an enemy base when his grandmother is kidnapped and his friend disappears. He has responsibilities that he takes care of, like his part time job at Heibon. Despite knowing a few gang leaders, he generally stays out of trouble when possible. He dislikes having to resort to violence and prefers either fleeing or talking his way out of it. Though, he will get into a fight if it's necessary since being in a rough area taught him some arguments have to resolved with fists instead of words. He's very accepting towards all sorts of people regardless of age, gender, and sexual orientation. For instance he accepts all of his possible love interests despite their quirks, attitude or whether they're a secret robot experiment or used to himself and his dog (it's a long and dumb story trust me).

His one major weakness is his emotions. Usually, if it isn't major, he can just blow it off and retort with a sarcastic or snappish remark back. However, if he is provoked in any way enough, he can strike back in a few ways without thinking. One example being that during one route, he gets angry at Noiz for messing with Ren's computer system without listening to why he did it, jumping to conclusions too quickly. He may shout at someone if they push his buttons or start turning red all over if someone hits any embarrassing notes of his. This can also lead to him making a rash and possibly fatal decision during tough spots, which may or may not turn out well, depending on the player's choices such as getting one bad end depends on whether or not he can restrain himself. For instance, during Ren's route if he chooses to be pissed off and attack without thinking against two villains, he gets one of the bad endings. On flip side since he's honest about how he feels he can be really easy to read even for folks who don't know him all that well.

Tied to his state of self and usage of his powers is his alternate personality. The personality splintered off of him from a time where he regularly participated in Rhyme battles and was utterly vicious towards people mainly by causing their minds to shit bricks (figuratively that is). It should be noted that these events were wiped from his mind, and he has no idea about this part of his past from his current canon point. This personality can slowly seep into Aoba's conscious by tempting him with commands to destroy everything, destroy it all. Sometimes the personality may emerge completely to take over for brief periods, especially if Aoba is in a particularly tight spot. It's triggered by stress and whenever Aoba in danger and panicking, like being sought after by the main villain's underlings and put into a corner. This personality only exists for one purpose and that is to cause destruction. It is ruthless, uncaring, and a stark contrast from Aoba's usual persona.

However when he's not caught up in the heat of the moment, he's a reasonable guy and the guy who helps drive forward most of the actions in all the routes. The exception being Mink's route because Mink himself is more concerned about personal matters with Toue and Aoba is only there to assist him. It shows off how loyal he can be, even if he didn't approve of Mink's ways of using violence and being forceful to get answers. He prefers to think before he leaps, so to speak, when he isn't facing a situation that requires a quick decision. There's a reason why most of the cast is drawn into him, and it's not just because of being the central character or his literally hypnotic vocal chords.

Despite all that he's been through he isn't the type to wallow in his regrets and pity. While he will never forget his regrets either, he will focus on the future and take action when needed.

He really hates for people to cut or touch his own hair, and does all the hair styling himself. This is because he was born with nerves inside of them, making them sensitive and capable of feeling the same as touching the softer parts of his skin. It's a bit of a sore spot for him, since he was endlessly teased for keeping his hair long like a female's.

In short Aoba is a reliable guy who cares for everybody he meets and gets along with despite being a little dickish or rash sometimes.

□ Gender: Male
□ Appearance: Aoba stands at an average height of five feet and nine inches tall. His build is muscular, but not overly so. His striking blue hair is cut in two layers, a short one that reaches only an inch or two past his ears and another one that is long enough to fall past his shoulders. He generally wears it all down with his accompanying pink headphones. His eyes are colored a light brown/hazel, but they turn yellow when his scrap personality is active. His clothes consist of a bright-colored hoodie jacket with blue, yellow, white hues and a brain design on the shoulders. His matching shoes go along with the rest of his attire with similar blues and whites. He also wears jeans, a bright blue belt, and a dark blue undershirt, the latter of which he also wears to bed. Finally, he wears a single open-finger, black/blue glove on his right hand.

□ Abilities/Powers: Aoba's single power is Scrap. It is a power that has been given to him via genetic engineering, but he only very recently discovered its existence and the full extent of what it is capable of. He has a hypnotic voice that can draw people to him, and it can cause others become enamored with how his voice sounds. However, that's just the surface of it. He can imprint what he pleases upon others' minds and issue commands. These commands force obedience upon the victim, forcing them to follow them, no matter if they are an enemy, a friend, or a stranger to him. However, the deeper the relationship is with the other person, the more effective it is. He can shut down people completely and make them pass out for brief periods if his will permits it. If he really desires it, he can enter people's heads and see what is basically a room into their soul. This displays their most intimate secrets in a room or area that represents their soul, places important to that person or maybe their past. While in this state, Aoba is capable of communicating with the person directly at their core. However, using this power that way is risky, as it could either heal the person's most troubling issues, or break them.

However, as a side effect, he experiences frequent headaches and takes his grandmother's medicine to quell them. In Ariel, his headaches will be weak at first, and they will barely be present at all since his powers will be gone. However, they will come back to their full extent slowly as he moves up the

Finally, he's in shape, can hold his own in a fist fight, and proficient with technology (but not genius or hacking levels). These abilities shouldn't be required to scale back in Ariel, since they fall within the normal levels.

□ Personal Items:

- The clothes on his back and a spare set.

- His headphones that have a built in MP3 player and will remain functional.

- A bottle of Tae's medicine pills for his chronic headaches. Enough to last him two weeks, maybe one week depending on the severity of the headaches he has.

- His Coil! The Coil is a mobile phone wristwatch (so I suppose an iPhone comparison would be more apt), but it can send text messages, receive video calls in addition to voice calls, being used as a person's ID card, paying bills, and watching television. It's capable of using apps. For example, throughout the common route (and at the very beginning of the common route splits,) Aoba receives little 8-bit game application demos to play. It's capable of receiving images, like for instance, a map with directions on it. It doesn't appear to be a GPS in itself since Aoba relies on his Allmate for that type of function. Finally, it can be used as an ID card in one way to get access into restricted areas if it has been granted privileges. I'd like to elaborate more on the capabilities of it, but unfortunately we only see the text messages, voice/video calls, apps, ID card and image functions used in the game. While in use, it pops up as a hologram screen of about four inches right above the wristwatch. You give input to it via touching it like there's a touchscreen built into the device.

As said before, it will be reduced to being only able to tell time via the same hologram screen. When he moves up the ranks of power, he will gain access to all the functions sans the phone and messaging systems, which he will be able to look at them, but trying to use them wouldn't work. Since you know, the chip makes those functions redundant anyway.
